RICHARD TOMLINS
Dr Richard Tomlins is active in the creative economy, social enterprise and related sectors in Coventry as part of the University’s civic anchor activities including as part of Coventry UK City of Culture 2021. His work extends globally and most recently in Brasil, Mexico and Ukraine.
At the core of Richard’s interventions is his work around the social value that social enterprises can develop, manage and scale for example through his Social Value Today.
His wider interest in playful and disruptive methodologies includes LEGO Serious Play, “LEGO-A-GO-GO”, Sprint, Nudge and mentoring card exercises. These themes feature strongly in his Latin American work.
Throughout his work Richard uses his own experiences of business, social enterprise and inequality to engage with communities of identity and interest and to facilitate and empower social entrepreneurship and creative economy. He is an activist, practitioner and researcher.
