Caroline

Hi there, I’m Caroline

I love working in museum and gallery learning to engage and encourage visitors of all ages that museums and galleries are magical and eye opening places. I manage projects, teach, lecture and train and develop content for learning resources.

I love working with clients that delegate responsibility; empower colleagues; are curious, passionate and committed; believe that museums are for exploring, welcoming and involving children, families and young people.

Some of the organisations I’ve worked with include: The British Library, The British Museum, The Heritage Education Trust, The Imperial War Museum, The Institute of Education, University of London, The Jewish Museum, Kids in Museums, The National Gallery and The National Motor Museum, Beaulieu.

In the future, I would love to do more project management; curating children’s exhibitions; teaching, lecturing and training as well as developing creative learning resources to engage museum and gallery visitors.

Nice things clients have said about me include:
“Caroline brings enormous energy and passion to everything that she does. When Caroline is involved, you can be certain that the future of museum education is in safe hands.” (James Mayhew well-known English illustrator and author of children’s books)

My specialist areas include curating The National Gallery’s Take One Picture display, directing Kids in Museums Takeover Day, developing, leading and lecturing on the Institute of Education’s  Virtual and Material Cultures Module, training Initial Teacher Education students and evaluating learning programmes at heritage sites.
