MARK SCOTT

Mark is Monitoring and Data Manager, Coventry City of Culture Trust.

Mark led on the creation of the Performance Measurement and Evaluation Strategy for Coventry UK City of Culture 2021 on behalf of the Coventry City of Culture Trust and lead the strategic implementation of evaluation frameworks across Trust activity in partnership with the University of Warwick and Coventry University. Commission and project manage relevant research and contracted pieces of work relating to Coventry 2021.

He also leads on the collation and writing of reports for key funders and manage stakeholder relationships regarding monitoring and evaluation. Work closely with university partners to ensure Trust activity can be evaluated efficiently and properly. Represent the Trust in all matters relating and about monitoring and evaluation.

Another key element of Marks role is his lead on the development team which created the Coventry Cultural Place Profiler, a digital tool which brings together cultural data and non-cultural data together to allow individuals and organisations to further understand the city when developing and undertaking projects.

Mark has had a career working in the arts sector in various organisations since 2012. He has worked in admin, coordinator and project lead roles for institutions such as The Royal College of Music and The National Theatre.

He is currently also completing his PhD at The University of Warwick in Theatre Building Architecture and Sustainability, examining the inter-relationship between performance, socio-economic, political factors, cultural engagement, and opera house design and the influence on overall cultural policy.
