Interim Freelance Finance Manager
Get in touch!
We’re looking for someone who can bring a high level of skill and experience to set up our management accounts, project budgets, and forecasting, to produce integrated financial records for the senior management team and budget holders. We’re looking for someone to take the lead – a self-starter, who can quickly develop our approach to finance operations and processes, ensuring that financial statutory obligations are fulfilled. Examples include:
- Management accounts at organisational and project level
- Development of annual budget planning process and templates
- Cash flow forecasting
- Restricted and unrestricted funds
- Monthly reconciliations
- A control account for payroll submissions
- Credit control, purchase order systems, project codes
- Working with external accountants to ensure VAT returns are filed as needed
- Integration of Quick Books.
We envisage that this is a discrete piece of work – to get our systems up, running and up to date. Once we have established budgets, processes, and financial reports we will recruit a part-time Finance Manager to maintain budgets, reports, and management accounts (and we are happy to explore with you if this is something that you would be interested in moving forwards).
A little bit about us
We are a small organisation that creates a big impact in the arts and cultural sector.
Our vision is ‘Everyone’s Culture’: a world where arts and culture in the UK reflects and connects with everyone and is made by, with and for the whole nation.
Our shared mission is to support the cultural sector to change, develop and transform so that Everyone’s Culture is created. We do that with free tools and resources for everyone, by providing clients with advice, facilitation, coaching and consultancy and with a range of co-created cohort-based development programmes.
We are a team of 10 members of staff (1 full time, 9 part-time) working remotely. In addition we work with 60+ associates on various projects, programmes and with clients so whether that is commissioning content, speakers, coaches, consultants, providing advice and guidance to organisations, networks, partnerships or groups. There is a constant and large volume of work that is coming into the organisation on a daily basis and this means we now need an exceptional finance person to come and build and shape our systems and processes to bring visibility, clarity, and rigour to our finances.
